“Damn, Mario! Back at it again with the 8-bit Vans!” is what the kids will say when they see Nintendo and Vans’ collaborative shoe line.
European shoe retailer 43 Einhalb listed the 8-bit line as a June release for European consumers. No North American availability has been confirmed.
The clothing line isn’t just shoes, though. Nintendo-inspired T-shirts and sandals will also be available in June.
The Vans draw inspiration from classic 8-bit Nintendo graphics, featuring beloved franchises like Mario, Zelda, Donkey Kong and Duck Hunt.
Vans have been known to collaborate with other pop-culture icons in the past, most notably Star Wars and The Beatles.
Pricing has not been confirmed yet, but it is expected that more information in regards to pricing and availability will surface closer to the product launch.
