Blood, the gory horror themed shooter from the mid-90’s crop of Doom-like games is being re-released thanks to Atari and Nightdive Studios
First released back in the year 1997 by Monolith Productions, blood was a bloody, horror-themed take on the Doom formula. The game being
Nightdive Studios is best known recently for the crowdfunded remastering of System Shock 2, and has a team of industry veterans including engine developer Samuel “Villarreal, whose previous work includes The Original Strife, Turok, Turok 2: Seeds of Evil, along with developers Edward Richardson, James Haley, and producer Daniel Grayshon.
“Blood stood up extremely well over time and we are taking care to preserve all the qualities that made the game so special.”
