Funimation Cuts Ties With Crunchyroll Partnership 1

Crunchyroll has announced that their partnership with Funimation will be ending this November.

In the last two years, Crunchyroll and Funimation have teamed up to provide viewers with the anime they love. However, the latter party has decided to cut ties, with the last day of the partnership being November 9.

What this will mean for the Crunchyroll community is that a select list of anime titles licensed by Funimation will no longer be part of the library. Likewise, Funimation’s own catalog of shows will be affected.

Currently, the anime list is being finalized by both Crunchyroll and Funimation, and Crunchyroll promises in their post to release the titles to their community as soon as possible.

As for now, shows that premiered during the partnership are still available. A couple of these shows are Attack on Titan and My Hero Academia.

“Additionally, all home video releases will be released as scheduled and all pre-orders will be fulfilled,” the Crunchyroll Team added. “As demonstrated by our record year of anime announcements, Crunchyroll is more committed than ever to bringing you the best and latest series from Japan, as well as expanding our catalog of classics.”

Crunchyroll thanks its community for their support and still aims to deliver anime lovers the content they enjoy.
