Get ready for more dinosaur action as Jurassic World 3 is being released on June 11, 2021 in theaters.

The release date for Jurassic World 3 was announced on the official Jurassic World’s twitter page, although no extra information has been revealed at this time. 2018 marks the 25th anniversary of the Jurassic Park franchise and the second instalment in the Jurassic World series is set to come out later this year.

Jurassic World 2: Fallen Kingdom is releasing on June 22nd and has received a number of trailers as well as story details so far. The film takes place four years after the first Jurassic World film with Chris Pratt’s Owen McGrady and Bryce Dallas Howard’s Clair Dearing’s returning to the island of Isla Nublar to save the remaining dinosaurs from an upcoming volcano explosion. Once there they will encounter new breeds of dinosaurs and uncover a massive conspiracy, that threatens the safety of the entire planet. The film’s trailer is shown below.

It’s worth noting that while there is no director attached at the moment Colin Trevorrow helmed the first film but took a step back from the sequel in order to direct Star Wars Episode IX. Since then,  Trevorrow has been fired from Star Wars IX and as a result could return to direct Jurasic World 3.

As a series, the Jurassic Park/World films have grossed over $3.5 billion combined. The first film in the franchise came out back in June of 1993 and was directed by Steven Spielberg.
