At CES this week, NIVIDIA will have several announcements about their newest gaming hardware.
NIVIDIA plans to take PC gaming to the big screen with the introduction of the big format gaming displays or BFGDs. Originally created in collaboration with NIVIDIA, Acer, ASUS and HP, the BFGDs bring a high-end 65-inch, 4K 120 Hz HDR display and is integrated with NVIDIA G-SYNC technology and NVIDIA SHEILD. All of this combined creates a smooth gaming experience and brings together your favorite media streaming services.
The project has been in production for over two years. According to NVIDIA in a blog post, they reference PUBG in a way that highlights the BFGDs capabilities. When in practice, players will find that their moment is clear and free of any blurry motions. This leads to any moment or action resulting in the highest amount of detail as possible.
NIVIDIA also announced that starting today, the GeForce Now cloud game-streaming service, which originally launched as a successful beta last summer, is now up for a free beta for any Windows laptops and desktops. GeForce is able to connect gamers to their libraries of games from many of the top digital game stores. This now includes Ubisoft’s game portal, Uplay PC.
NIVIDIA’s final announcement introduces GeForce Freestyle. Freestyle allows gamers to integrate post-processing filters to your games while you play. Gamers will be able to change the color saturation or apply any dramatic post-processing filters.
At launch there will be a total of 15 different filters with 38 different settings. These range from: Black and White, Colour Blind, Exposure, Depth of Field and many more. Freestyle lets gamers be more creative with their games. For example if a gamer wanted to make their FPS have a more retro war theme, then they will be able to change the colours to make it seem like they are fighting on the front lines of an old war.
The colour blind mode lets gamers who are colour blind have an easier time to differentiate between different colours. There is even a mode for gamers who go into the late hours of the night. Gamers are able to reduce the blue color of their games so that they are able to get a good nights sleep.
The new Freestyle game filters and Ansel photo mode will be available in beta form on January 9th.
