PC ports of major console releases have had a troubling history as of late. With Batman Arkham Knight and it’s PC issues, to the recent neglect of Mortal Kombat, the PC has been getting the short end of the stick when ports are involved. It seems you will soon be able to add Disney Infinity 3.0 to that list.
Rumour of the intention to drop the PC version first hit a Disney Infinity fansite, but was quickly backed up via Twitter through official channels.
The tone of the message was carried through with VP of Production for Disney Infinity, John Vignocchi:
@REYzero1 We are evaluating our strategy with the PC version. When we have something to announce, we will let you know. @brian_s_nelson

Until this point, all content was included with the initial 3.0 release. Now, with the latest update, things are about to be added. With this latest patch, Disney will be adding Marvel Battlegrounds play set along with whole set of characters. Sadly if you are on the PC version of the game, this is where support ends.
As of right now there is no word on if the situation will change, although if anything new comes on this front we will update this story. No other version of the game was affected by this choice.
