Lost Planet 3 pushed back a month, pre-order bonuses announced as reconciliation - 2013-04-09 17:59:40

On Tuesday Capcom very subtly announced that its upcoming third-person action game Lost Planet 3, originally slated for release on Jul. 25, has been delayed to Aug. 27. Accompanying this news, perhaps in an effort to make up for the setback, is information on some pre-order bonuses.

According to a trio of trailers, players can get a specific DLC pack depending on the retailer he/she pre-orders the game at. GameStop is offering the “Freedom Fighter” pack and it comes with five new characters to play in multiplayer, at online retailer Amazon the “Punisher Pack” is being offered and it will give players access to a slew of long-range weapons presumably not found in the game, finally Best Buy is getting the “Assault Pack” and it’s giving gamers access to close-quarters weapons that can only be acquired through the DLC.

Included in all of these DLC packs are “powerful rig upgrades” that look like DLC-exclusive enhancements to one of the game’s signature mechs.

Lost Planet 3 will be available for the Xbox 360, PS3 and PC.
